Fire, Fire, Fire Station!!!

Lorelei's preschool class at the firestation.

Inside the Firetruck, pretending to take a ride.

Lorelei got to go on a field trip to the Fire Station with her preschool class! I volunteered to go a long and help out. It was a lot of fun as we learned about fire safety. They have now added another step to their fire motto "Stop, Drop and Roll," although I don't think it flows nicely when you say it anymore, I know it has equally the same importance. It is now "Stop, Drop, Cover your Face and Roll. It was cute watching all the kids participate as they followed the fire fighter in this drill. We watched as the firefighter put on about 75lbs of gear on, including his gas mask, which luckily didn't scare any of the kids. We got to climb into the firetruck and look around at all the fun gear and gadgets. They all went home with a free fire hat and sticker. We love our firefighters and are grateful for their service in our community.

Looks fun! Dylan also visited the local fire station with his preschool class a few months ago. He still talks about.

When you have a cute face like Lorelei's, of course you're going to want to cover it! :)

Over my past 7.5 years of parenthood, I think I've been to like 10 fire stations - always always a favorite for kiddos. Glad you got the tour - I'm sure it won't be your last!
